Cleaning your Lacanche oven
Lacanche furnace maintenance
To protect the environment, Lacanche has opted for a traditional cleaning method that avoids the emission of toxic fumes. For this reason, the ovens are coated with a smooth, acid-proof vitrified enamel that is easy to clean, and feature removable side panels that can be washed in a dishwasher.
Ovens can be cleaned using a stainless steel “sponge” and water combined with a natural soap-based detergent. We recommend scrubbing the surfaces in small, circular movements, exerting continuous, even pressure. Rinse with clean water.
If the oven is very dirty, use a sponge to apply a mixture of bicarbonate, water and concentrated white vinegar to the walls. After heating the oven at a low temperature (80°) for 45 minutes, spray on white vinegar and remove stubborn stains with a stainless steel “spiral sponge”. Rinse with water and then wipe with a dry cloth or paper towel.
